The blog that covers everything about fans, that gives you straight answers.

About Me

Hi, I’m Lex! And yes, I actually do think about fans this much

A few years ago I was renovating a room and spent way too long trying to figure out what size fan to get, whether I needed a downrod or flush mount, and why every guide I found was either a generic listicle or so technical it required an engineering degree to follow. So I started researching properly.

Then I couldn’t stop. I’ve since researched a lot of fans, compared dozens of models side by side, and spent an embarrassing amount of time studying CFM ratings, blade pitch angles, and motor types. CeilingFanGuides is where I put all of that to use.

What you’ll find here

This isn’t a store. It’s not a paid review site dressed up to look like one either. It’s a practical content site covering everything fan related ideas for every room and style, honest buying guides that help you pick the right fan without the overwhelm, how-to tips for installation and maintenance, and troubleshooting guides for when something goes wrong.

A few things worth knowing

Before you dive in, here’s what this site is and isn’t.

Research-based, not sponsored

If a product gets mentioned, it’s because it came up in genuine research, not because anyone paid for placement.

DIY-friendly, not reckless

I’ll walk you through anything a confident homeowner can handle. For new wiring or anything beyond a swap, call a licensed electrician.

Plain English, always

Technical terms get explained the first time they appear. You shouldn’t need an electrical engineering degree to buy a ceiling fan.

WHY THIS SITE EXISTS?

I wanted a place where someone could land, get a straight answer, and leave feeling like they actually know what to do next.
